Data migration in progress
Ebix Meridian

Moving to EbixEvolution.

From earlier Ebix broking systems, from third-party platforms, and from spreadsheets, with the client, policy, claims, and ledger history carried across and reviewed by your team before go-live.

Where brokerages come from

Three starting points, one destination.

01

Earlier Ebix broking systems

Ebix has run broking systems in its markets for decades; in Australia, Evolution sits alongside WinBEAT and Sunrise Exchange in the Ebix ecosystem. Brokerages on an earlier Ebix system are migrated by the Ebix team already familiar with their book.

02

Third-party broking platforms

Clients, policies, claims, ledger balances, and documents exported from the current platform, mapped, imported, and reviewed by your team in staging before go-live.

03

Spreadsheets and disconnected tools

Brokerages running a policy register, an accounting package, and a document folder are brought onto one record, with the ledger opened from reconciled balances.

What comes across

Migration is not just the client list. This is what a brokerage should expect to see on day one.

01

Clients and contacts

Every prospect, client, and contact with its relationships, so the client file starts complete.

02

Policies and history

Current policies with their sections, insurers, and terms, and as much policy history as the source system holds.

03

Claims

Open claims with their status and correspondence, and closed claims as loss history on the policy.

04

Ledger balances

Client and insurer balances opened from a reconciled cut-off, with open items carried across for receipting and settlement.

05

Documents

Documents filed to the client, policy, or claim they concern, so the file reads the same as it did before.

Team reviewing migrated data

Reviewed by your team, before it is the record.

Migrated data lands in a staging workspace where your data owner checks clients, policies, and balances against the source system. Nothing becomes the system of record until it reconciles and your team signs it off.

Staging first

Migrated data reviewed before it becomes live.

Reconciled balances

Ledger opened from a cut-off that ties to the old system.

Your sign-off

Go-live is your decision, made on reconciled numbers.

Why brokerages on earlier Ebix systems move first

Ebix knows its own systems. A brokerage on an earlier Ebix broking platform is migrated by a team that already understands the data model, the market, and the book.

A known data model

The mapping from the earlier Ebix system is defined, not discovered.

The same market team

The Ebix office that supported the old system implements the new one.

Continuity for the team

Familiar concepts, a new platform; the brokerage's ways of working carry over.

A defined path

Scoped, scheduled, and run as a project with a parallel month end.
