Integration-ready, e-commerce enabled.
EbixEvolution was designed from the ground up as an e-commerce enabled, integration-ready platform. It connects to insurer systems, market exchanges, funders, banks, and the applications a brokerage already runs, through configurable workflows and a services-oriented architecture.
Current interfaces
Named interfaces EbixEvolution integrates with today. Availability depends on the market; the Ebix team in yours confirms the set during scoping.
EbixExchange
The UK market platform. Evolution integrates with it to automate the placing, accounting, and claims process.
Sunrise Exchange Interface
Australia's broker-insurer exchange. Evolution sits behind Sunrise as the managing system for the client and policy environment.
Sunrise Online Quoting Interface
Online quoting through Sunrise, with the resulting transaction landing in Evolution as the system of record.
iClose Interface
Electronic closing and settlement between brokers and insurers.
SmartOffice Interface
Connection to the SmartOffice environment for firms that run it alongside Evolution.
Document Management Interface (DMI)
Documents produced and received flow to and from the brokerage's document management system.
Premium Funding Interface
Funding quotes and agreements for clients who spread their premium, connected to the funder electronically.
NAB Transact
Card and bank payment processing, with payment files uploaded automatically so receipting is not manual.
eLink .Connect
Electronic banking connectivity for payments and receipts.
Macquarie Premium Payments
Premium payment processing through Macquarie, reconciled in the accounting engine.
Behind the exchange, as the managing system.
In Australia, Sunrise Exchange streamlines the policy lifecycle between brokers and insurers: new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations move as electronic transactions instead of manual submissions. EbixEvolution sits behind Sunrise as the managing system. The broker triggers a renewal, Sunrise pushes the structured data through, and Evolution manages the client, policy, and accounting environment, so the whole thing is one connected transaction. EbixExchange plays the same role in the UK.
Quotes and placements flow through the exchange into the policy record.
The transaction lands in the accounting engine, included in settlements and reports.
Claims processes automated through the exchange where the market supports it.
The integration architecture
How the platform is built to connect: distribution, self-service, payments, and external applications, all writing to the same system of record.
E-commerce enabled from the ground up
Online products distributed through retail or niche websites, where the client can quote, bind, and pay without broker intervention. The transaction appears in Evolution as if your staff had entered it.
One repository for policy and accounting
Uploaded e-commerce transactions keep the broking system as the sole repository. Invoices and documents are generated inside it, and insurer settlements and reports include the imported transactions.
Payment files uploaded automatically
Payment files from your bank or card provider load into Evolution automatically, negating the need for manual receipting.
Customer self-service by web service
A one-way information feed from your database to your website, so clients see selected policy, claims, and accounting information without exposing the database or compromising security.
Third-party CRM and analytics
Built on a services-oriented architecture for integration with external applications, including the CRM and analytics tools a brokerage already runs.
Exports and electronic submission
Reports export to Excel and PDF and can be submitted electronically directly from the application; the General Ledger produces statutory reports.
Modular by design
The standard suite of modules covers core broking and accounting. Optional modules address specific processing requirements and external interfaces, and within each module individual options can be enabled or left transparent to the user, so the system mirrors your processing without unnecessary options slowing it down.
Core broking and accounting functions every brokerage runs.
Specific processing requirements and external interfaces, licensed as needed.
What applies is on; what does not is invisible to the user.
Wordings, templates, documents, letters, claims codes, and reports are configuration.
